Le Camembert de Normandie with its white and fluffy rind has a supple, beige colour and creamy paste with some little holes. The taste has a hint of salt and it is slightly mushroomy with lactic flavours.
Do not confuse le Camembert de Normandie with Camembert made in Normandy: the quality is just not the same. This Camembert de Normandie is especially made with Normande breed and is molded in a ladle and matured for at least 3 weeks. The famous Normand cheese got its AOP label in 1996.
