Macon Les Sardines Domaine Robert Denogent 2020

A creamy but lean white wine with aromas of ripe white fruit, pastry notes and toasted touches. On the palate it is intense, creamy and enveloping. It reveals a good structure, crisp acidity and a long finish.

Jean-Jacques Robert took over five hectares of his grandfather?s vines in the Maconnais just outside the village of Fuisse after finishing law school in 1988. Jean-Jacques soon came under the influence of two ardent defenders of terroir, the great master of Morgon, Marcel Lapierre, and American importer, Kermit Lynch and introduced radical changes to the domaine. Since then, his sons Nicolas and Antoine joined him 2006 and 2012. The old vines (between 50 and 70 years old) are farmed organically since 15 years and about to be certified. They also think about switching to biodynamics in the coming years.
